PHILIPPINES · PILOT POD FORMING NOW

You don't need more time.
You need three mornings
you can't quietly skip.

The Morning Pod is a small, closed group of Kingdom Entrepreneurs — Spirit-filled, Philippines-based solopreneurs, freelancers, and creators who show up together, 9 AM–12 PM PH time, Monday through Wednesday. Same people, three months minimum. These are the mornings where work actually gets done.

Why most days don't happen

Nobody's watching, so nothing's due.

01

No boss means no 9 AM.

Work expands to fill a day with no edges. Parkinson's Law isn't a theory when you're the only one holding the clock.

02

You don't keep promises to yourself.

Self-imposed deadlines slip more than externally imposed ones — when only you are watching, only you notice when it moves.

03

Solo doesn't mean lonely. It means unwitnessed.

No teammate is around to notice a quiet week, so a quiet week turns into a quiet month without anyone saying anything.

04

You never miss a flight.

Hard external commitments never create a follow-through problem. The Morning Pod manufactures that same pressure — daily, on purpose.

The weekly rhythm

Three mornings a week. That's the whole ask.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday — 9 AM to 12 PM, PH time. Thursday and Friday stay open for the meetings, errands, and unscheduled life that solo work still throws at you. Weekends are yours, full stop — for family and friends, not for catching up on the pod.

Your private pod channel doesn't close on those off-days, though. No blocked time required — just a place to check in, ask a question, or share a win whenever you actually have a minute.

9:00

Standup

We open together — a short prayer or verse, then all 9 check in, briefly, out loud, to people who'll ask about it tomorrow.

9:30

Focus block

Camera on, mic off, heads down. The work happens in the room, not around it.

11:30

Close the loop

Report back. Did it happen or not — either way, you say it out loud before the room closes.

12:00

Done for the day

Some encouragement for the day and a short prayer to close, then the room ends. Same 9 people, same time, next session.

Who this is for

Nine people, deliberately chosen.

  • Solopreneurs and freelancers based in the Philippines — online shop owners, coaches and consultants, digital creators, marketers, graphic and web designers
  • Building something real — a business, a brand, a book, or steady client work — with no team to answer to
  • Spirit-filled Christian — acknowledges the Holy Spirit as active in daily decisions, not just on Sundays
  • Can genuinely hold 9 AM–12 PM PH time, Monday to Wednesday, for three months
  • Wants the same nine faces — not a new stranger every morning
  • Comfortable running sessions in English — the shared language across the pod

Pod #1 — now forming
Not another coworking app

Plenty of tools can get you to focus. This is about who you're showing up for.

Most focus tools exist to make you more productive, full stop — and that's a fine goal, as far as it goes. The Morning Pod is built around a different center: showing up for people, not just for output. Kingdom-focused, not self-focused. Now your work gets done — while you also impact other people's lives.

other co-working solutions

A different face every session. Big room, zero memory. You could skip a whole month and no one would think to ask.

The Morning pod

Same nine people, every time. Small enough that your absence gets noticed — and your win gets celebrated

the engine

Encouragement isn't a nice touch. It's the core skill that holds The Pod together.

Every leader worth following has this in common — they put courage into people. But you can't hand someone something you don't have yourself. That's why we don't treat encouragement as a soft skill on the side. It's the actual mechanism that makes strangers-turned-podmates show up on a Wednesday morning when they didn't have to.

01

Not generic praise

"You're crushing it" doesn't move anyone. "You said the client proposal would be done by 10:30, and it was — even with your phone buzzing at 10" does. We name the exact thing. That's what makes it land.

02

Built into the rhythm

Encouragement isn't left to chance or good intentions. It's something we value enough to build into how every session closes — not scheduled out of habit, but scheduled because we value it.

03

Why people stay

Obligation gets someone in the room once. What gets them back on Wednesday is being seen — noticed by the people actually in it with them.

Nobody's here because they have to be. They stay because someone noticed what they did, and said so. This is what "accountability" actually means here — courage, handed to you on purpose, three mornings a week.

Who's running this

A note from Edwin

Edwin Laagland

Founder, The Morning Pod

Working for myself, I noticed something: nobody was expecting me at 9 AM. No deadline, no one to answer to, and the days drifted. After years on church staff, I started building websites for a living. I had a faith and a business, but almost no structure. The Morning Pod fixes that. Three mornings a week, a small group of believers prays together, commits to the day’s work out loud, and then does it. I built it for myself first. If you’re solo and your days drift, I’d love to see you in the Pod.

POD #1

Nine seats. First pod starts soon.

This isn't a place to figure out if freelancing or solo-entrepreneurship is for you. It's for people already in it, whose follow-through has quietly slipped.

01
You apply

A short form — what you're building, how long you've been solo, and where accountability breaks down.

02
We review — fast

Every application gets a real read. You'll hear back within 24 hours.

03
Yes, no, or a quick call

Most answers are a straight yes or no. If it's close, we'll hop on a short call first.

Pod #1 carries no cost — this is a founding cohort, not a free trial. You're committing your mornings, not your money, and that's the real ask. Future pods may include a small membership fee.
