Where it started

It started with days that went nowhere.

As solopreneurs and freelancers, we have the ultimate flexibility. No boss, no standing calls, no fixed deadlines. Nobody to tell us when to start, and nobody to notice when we don't.

For me, that flexibility turned into days with no structure. I went to bed late, woke up late, and nothing changed either way. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and the plans piled up faster than the finished work.

The strange part: when I have a flight to catch, I'm up early and on time. My discipline wasn't broken. What was missing was someone expecting me.

So I built the room I needed. The same small group, three mornings a week, 9 AM to noon. We open in prayer, say what we'll do, work in silence on camera, and finish by saying out loud what we'll have done by next session, to people who will ask.

I'd watched large groups lose people. Connections go loose and people drift off. Small groups where the same faces keep showing up hold. That's why the Pod stays small.

The Morning Pod is that room.

What we believe

What you read in the book of Acts still holds: where two or three come together, things grow. It's in community that we grow, where we're held accountable, where someone gives a hand when we're down and encouragement when we stop believing.

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.
Ecclesiastes 4:9–10, NIV

If you work for yourself, you're a marketplace pastor

If you're a business owner, freelancer or creator, you have access to people your church pastor never will. By being yourself and living the life God intended for you, you reach hearts a 45-minute Sunday message can't. You get into people's lives, you learn what they need, often before they can see it themselves.

But working alone makes isolation easy. You figure it out by yourself. You guard the wisdom you worked hard for. You live on your own terms, where the line between God-driven and hustle gets thin. God doesn't want that for you.

That's who the Pod is for: online shop owners, coaches and consultants, digital creators, marketers, designers and freelancers, Spirit-filled and based in the Philippines.
